ClearView™ VHW Series Self-Cleaning Window

The ClearView™ VHW Series windows are self-cleaning viewports for use in deposition environments. The windows consist of an in-vacuum heated quartz disk, thermally isolated behind a standard vacuum window.  Material that would normally cloud or obscure the view through a vacuum window encounters the protective heated disk instead.  The material will re-evaporate from the heated disk at a rate dependent upon its vapor pressure/temperature curve.

The ClearView VHW Series offers two sizes of viewport, the VHW-150 with 1.37″ and VHW-250 with 2.37″.

• 7056 glass vacuum viewport
• 1.37″ diameter viewing area
• 2.75″ O.D. mounting flange
• Thin profile allows maximum viewing area
• Fused silica heated element
• Continuous operation up to 550°C
• Forced air cooling of housing
• Suitable for UHV environments
• Includes variable-temperature power supply

• 2.38″ diameter viewing area
• 4.5″ O.D. mounting flange
• Fused silica heated element
• Continuous operation at up to 350°C
• Water cooled
• Includes variable-temperature power supply
